    \n What rootstocks do we use to produce our plant?<\/span>\n <\/span>\n <\/h2> \n \n

    Rootstocks are the place where the varieties of a given fruit tree will be grafted. Each rootstock has some diferentiating characteristics (robustness, resistance\u2026) and affinities with various types of fruit trees (there are specific rootstocks for grafting pear, peach or cherry trees...). The rootstock choice must be made according to the characteristics of the soil where it will be planted and it is the fundamental basis for the future development of the production.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n \n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    GF 677 :<\/strong> Obtained from INRA France. Crossbreeding of peach (Prunus persica) x almond (Prunus amigdalus). It is one of the most used rootstocks nowadays. Optimum affinity with peach, nectarine and almond varieties. Adapts well to chalky soils and tolerates iron chlorosis. Sensitive to nematodes but with high robustness.<\/p>

    GXN (Garnem):<\/strong> Obtained from CITA of Aragon. Crossbreeding of the Garfi almond tree (Prunus amigdalus) x Nemared peach tree (Prunus persica). High-resistance to nematodes and high robustness although sensitive to limestone and root asphyxia. Compatible with peach, nectarine and almond trees.<\/p>

    Cadaman \u00aeAvimag:<\/strong> Rootstock compatible with all varieties of peach, nectarine and almond trees. It anticipates harvesting, especially in early varieties, providing a more intense coloration to the fruit. Gives less robustness compared to GF-677 or GXN. Very resistant to nematodes but sensitive to phytophtora.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Mariana 26\/24<\/strong>:<\/em> Rootstock compatible with plum and some apricot varieties. It adapts well to replanting conditions, given its resistance to many soil pathogens. It has a very high robustness and is the most resistant to root asphyxia. Moderately resistant to limestone and nematodes.<\/p>

    Monclar:<\/strong> Clonal selection of own-root peach tree. It has good affinity with peach, nectarine and almond varieties. It is less vigourous and more sensitive to nematodes than peach x almond hybrids.<\/p>

    Mirabolano 29\/C:<\/strong> Mirabolano selection from California. It is the most widely used rootstock for modern apricot varieties and is also compatible with plum. It is very robust, resistant to nematodes but moderately resistant to agrobacterium and armillaria.
